Fortress Health and Safety provides competent and professional health and safety advice and support for many small, medium and large sized clients, for a wide range of industries. We are a team of professional consultants and IOSH qualified Health and Safety practitioners with significant experience of tackling health and safety challenges faced by businesses today.
We have a good understanding and knowledge of health and safety legislation and its practical application. This provides us with a deep understanding of how businesses can reduce their risks and liabilities and prioritise preventative measures and actions.
From occasional health and safety help and advice, to regular support and guidance, or consultancy to meet a specific need, Fortress has the expertise to do the job.
Peter Dempsey
Peter has over 20 years health and safety experience providing advice, guidance and training services to a number of clients. He has a successful track record of supporting clients enhance their health and safety performance and creating environments for continuous improvement. Peter is a part time Director of Fortress Health and Safety Services and a part time lecturer in health and safety. He also makes time for the speaker circuit having spoken at national conference for the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health, chaired the London Council’s special interest group on Asbestos and was part of a national group that developed the national Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS).
Ian Kimmett
Ian has over 20 years health and safety and environmental health experience. He holds the NEBOSH Diploma, PRINCE 2 Practitioner level status and Environmental Health qualifications. Ian’s experience includes Health and Safety Enforcement and the provision of health and safety advice and support across all local government functions, and the NHS. In particular, Ian has worked extensively with schools and the wider education sector, including work as a health and safety trainer and consultant for a teaching union and supporting the development of health and safety strategy for one of London’s leading local authorities.
Ian is an Associate with Fortress Health and Safety Services with a keen interest in developing new approaches to health and safety leadership in large organisations.
